Heraeus runs an independent test laboratory that counts as one of the most modern and best equipped in the lamp industry. The Heraeus test laboratory is accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2000 for intensity measurements in the wavelength range 200 nm - 1700 nm and for flux measurement in the wavelength range 300 nm - 800 nm. The test laboratory team carries out product development and quality assurance, but also shares its knowledge on a one-to-one basis with customers if they are looking for in-depth information.Equipment includes:
- Radiometers and photometers
- Spectral radiometers
- Ulbricht sphere with monochromator
- Double monochromators for precision measurements
Services for customers include:
- Measurement of light sources (spectrum, output and lifetime)
- Transmission of many optical materials
- Measurement of customer equipment (e.g. sunbeds)
- Support for the development of new equipment using light sources
Testing can be carried out in the laboratory in Hanau/Germany or on the customer's site.
